Three Paper Peonies and a Greeting Card...

I was revising my eldest son's baby photobook when I took a little break by blog hopping and that's when I saw Three Paper Peonies' new paper collection specially for this holidays, Warm Woolen Mittens. It was pretty and I couldn't resist, I made a holiday card using her paper collection. This paper collection is free and you can grab it on her blog. I am a fan of Jaime Choi and if she would start to sell her designs, I would like to be a part of her creative team. :)

Here's the greeting card I made using some of Three Paper Peonies' Warm Woolen Mittens paper collection and some elements from my holiday littlekit (coming soon... hopefully before holidays end... bwahahaha...). Come back next week for my template freebies and perhaps my holiday littlekit is also done by then. Hehehe... *crossing fingers*

First week of December is about to end and Christmas is getting nearer. I hope we could celebrate this holidays in Philippines with our families as well as my birthday (and my father's; we share the same birthday). Unfortunately, circumstances didn't allow us to be there. Eventhough, I wish for a happy, joyful and blessed holidays to all of you.

Thanks for visiting... :)

My Wishlist... just a wishlist...

Wishlist... wishlist... wishlist... *huge sigh* When will I be able to get even 1 item from my wishlist. Hehehe... Just want to share to you my list (in no particular order) LOL!

1. Wii Fit
A good friend introduced me to this since she has this and she's having a real good time playing and at the same time getting physical work outs. I needed one, I believe. It's also something to share with the rest of the family, Kim can use it and even Makuy since it's like your playing a video game (onl healthier). Hehehe...
2. DSLR Camera Tripod
I've been longing to have one since I have a shaky hands. This is very useful indeed. :)

3. DSLR Camera Wireless Remote
Very useful, too. Specially when I wanted to take photos with myself included or take photos of the whole family, with Kim, or with the kids. ;D

4. Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED AF-0S DX VR Zoom Lens
I wanted to explore more on photography... zoom lens or micro. This is nice when I'm taking photos from a distance or would like to zoom a particular subject. LOL!

6. Laptop
Handy computer to store and edit my photos and even do some scrapping. It's would be nice to bring this anywhere and surf the net anytime if on the go. I just like to have one. :))

7. Pen Tablet
This is already answered by my sister. Thanks Sis!!! *smiling*. I wanted to have pen tablet for scrapbooking since I'm starting to design and it's nice in doodling or freehand drawings.

I also have a wishlist for Kim, Makuy and Yano.

8. Kim - A shoe that he really likes and a slipper he can wear just anywhere. Because even if we would just go to the market he wears rubbershoes since his slipper's very worn out already. He doesn't say it but I know he wanted a new mobile phone... and a guitar he could play while at home or just relaxing.

9. Makuy - I would want to get him a new Crocs since his old ones getting smaller for his getting bigger feet. I like Crocs since it's very comfortable, non-slippery and light to the feet. Other than the Cros, I'd like to get him a rubber shoes since his rubber shoes doesn't feet anymore (we gave it to the relief goods already). I also would like to buy him some shirts and pants. It's embarrasing to admit we haven't bought him new clothes (his old clothes still fits well). We get hesitated to buy new ones since it's really expensive here and when you buy cheaper ones, it easily get's destroyed, worn out, stretched. And perhaps a portable DVD player where he can view his audio and video cds. This is also good for the baby music and so handy we can bring it in the car. He's saving up for his toy, so that's a relief for me. Hehehe...

10. Yano - For the baby, I just wanted to get verything I see and like at the store. Hahaha... But as of now, I's like to get him some educational toys like clothbooks/sound books, a gym mat, some developmental toys and soothing light toys. It's too early I know but I also wanted to get him a Crocs he can use while learning how to walk. Hehehe...

11. Lastly, for our househelp, Marites. I also would like to get her clothes and shoes/sandals or anything that she likes that I can afford. Hehehe... She's new with us, 2 months. We got her from Philippines to help us here at home specially with the baby since I'm trying to find work again. So far, so good... she's never failed us on our expectations (I hope so). This will be her first Christmas away from home and family so we wanted to comfort her when loneliness comes.

This is it... Those are my list... Hahaha... My wishlist... always a wishlist... just a wishlist... LOL!

Thanks for looking :)

Thanks + Giving

I am glad I became a part of Songbird family by being one of their creative team. This month’s my first month there and I am happy to help them even in some little way to be able to raise funds for different charities in the US. Even if I am not a US citizen, still I’m glad I’m helping. I’m also glad that Jan Crowley & Meredith Fenwick founded Songbird Avenue and along with the creative team and the guest designers every month, many charities will receive help.

We, at Songbird Avenue are grateful to all our guest designers who have contributed to a kit receiving no profit. And what are these if there are no customers to buy them, so, to all of you who bought kits from the Songbird Avenue store, thank you. With your purchase we were able to raise funds for charities.

As a gift to our generous supporters, here a template for you.

eta: Click on image to download template, click the PURCHASE button (price is set at $0.00), then check out. We hope you enjoy the download!

Here's a layout from me using this layered template. This is the first layout and 2 more layouts are coming using this. :))

These are our friends who visited us when I gave birth to our youngest son. A couple of close friends helped in taking care of my eldest son while Kim was with me at the hospital since I had 2 major surgeries at that time (a ceasarean birth and a partial hysterectomy since I had placenta accreta) and sent us food. I might forgot a few, sorry, as much as I wanted to remember all of you, I just can't. You know who you are and thank you.

I'd like to thank the hospital, the chaplain, all the nurses and nursing aides (specially Filipino staff) and doctors who took care of me and my baby. I have thank them over and over again from the time I woke up at the OR up to the time we were discharged from the hospital.
And as the year comes to its end, I'd like to thank them once again.

THANK YOU... God bless you all.

Thank you for looking :D

Note: Sorry for the photos friends, just grabbed them from Facebook... hehehe...

"My Boys"

It's almost midnight here in our place but I just got to post this photo. I so love this shot of my boys (the biggest, the big and the smallest). I took this photo last weekend, Friday. The photo was a bit noisy and a bit shaky nor the editing was not that good but it's perfect for me... I love it into bits. I even intend to print this on a larger size (maybe 8"x10") and frame it.

"MY BOYS"
{Papa Kim, Kuya (big brother) Makuy and our Tabakokong (chubby) Yano }

They are my world and they made me complete.
They are what keep me going.
They are my inspiration in everything I do.
I just love taking photos of them.

They are "My Boys"

I'M BACK...

YES... we already have internet at home... woohoo... it's been a while like three weeks or more. Hehehe... I know I missed so much while we didn't have internet access *sigh* and now that we have net already, I am quite confused where to start. Hehehe... But I have already updated my Facebook and all the photos that I needed to upload there are done. That's one down and more to go. Hehehe... Now I am trying to organize my thoughts as to what blog to update first (here or my foodblog?). Well, tomorrow (I hope I won't loose my mojo in updating) I'll start updating here.

I've been able to finish my eldest son Makuy's baby scraps and I was able to create a few scrap layouts. That's good right? And... I was also able to make 2 littlekits and 4 alphas. Ha! I'll post it here, too, and if you'll like them feel free to download it and leave some love after. Hehehe...

Everything will be tomorrow (Inshalla)...

But before I go, I'd like to inform you that we are all settled here in our new house we're renting. This is a much smaller space compare to the previous house we rented but we believed it's a much better place here. We are near the Town Center; a walking distance to the supermarket and hospital. There are also a lot of Filipinos here and most of our friends are near. That's a good-good thing. If ever I get to work again, I can just ride a taxi going to the work and back to the house; and Kim will not keep on going out or his work if we needed to go somewhere. I haven't taken photos of the house yet, I wanted to hang some photos first and install paving tiles infront of the main door. Hehehe... Kim and I decided we'll stay here and no more MOVING! Hahaha... It's not easy, it's very tiring... super! Thank God everything went well and the house help has already arrived. So that means, I'll be relaxed now with the baby; but it doesn't mean I will not take care of Yano and Makuy. I will still take care of them... I wanted to be hands on to the baby; it's just that, I believe it's a great help to have a house help.

So, just this for now and see you again tomorrow... Do come back for the freebies. :D

God bless... XOXO

As for other news, I might be out for a few days or week or a month. We will be transfering to a new house near the town (right now, we live quite away from the town and our neighbors are local here, so, I really don't want to go out and ride a taxi to the town --- I don't feel that secure even). Our new house is located near the hospital, grocery store and there are a lot of Filipinos living there, too. I'll be blogging about it as soon as we're settled there and the internet connection is available already. Yay... no net for a month? even cable tv? Yay... what will I do?! Now, that's the time I'll be able to organize the house and look for work since the househelp will be arriving today. Woohooo... I still have a few more days to blog then I'll be off hopefully not for a month. :D

Take care people. :)

I feel WHIMSY today :)

Last September 9, I participated another scrap challenge by Jaime Choi. I was crossing my fingers hoping I'd get chosen by Random.org. Even two of my friends are crossing their fingers and toes with me... Hahaha... And upon opening Jaime Choi's blog to see who won, this caught my utmost attention... Yipey! I won! I even checked it a few times if it's me iNg... it's me indeed. Look for yourselves below and here. Woohooo! =D Thanks to Random.org at last I was chosen. Thanks to Mariel and Madeleine for crossing fingers and toes with me... Hahaha... It worked.

And as for my prize? Jaime Choi's WHIMPSY digital kit! Can't wait to use them. Thank you to Jaime Choi of Three Paper Peonies.

Yes... yes... yes... Woohhoooo... Yipey!!!
:D

Cherished Moment

Just dropped by to post this... This is our wedding photobook I made early this year. I wish I could be able to have it printed by Shutterfly but since I don't have the means yet I thought I just share it with you. Please forgive the photos, they are scanned photos since we didn't have any digital copies (what we had was an old fashioned photos actually... hehehe...). This photobook is 8" x 8". I liked the 12" x 12" one but it seemed so big already and my scanned photos will get blurry or pixelated if enlarged and I think 8 x 8 is cute.

Click here to view this photo book larger

I wanted to give the credits to Paislee Press for the Ecologie Kit and FeiFei Stuff for the Boarder Brushes I used; and for Elyzee of Paislee Press for inspiring me to make my own photobook. (I ended up making my own photobook from scratch using a digital scrapbooking kit since again I have no means to purchase their wonderful Shutterfly ready photobooks). Lol! Hehehe... :)
