Yano at ONE

Last June 21, 2010, our youngest son (Yano) celebrated his first birthday. We had a little "just us" celebration at home. We got to celebrate his birthday with friends from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain last June 25 since it's weekend here and usually there are no work on Fridays.

It was a success even if the birthday cake was a disaster. I regret having it ordered on a cake shop, I should have made it myself. If it would be a failure then I have myself to blame. Well, anyways, it's done and I planned to bake my eldest son's cake on his 6th birthday next month.

Here was the invitation I created for Yano's birthday. I used my Big World Kit.

Here are a few photos during that day.

"Us" (thanks to Aying for taking the photo)

Yano (eating all throughout the celebration)

Blowing the cake and gathering all the kids for the happy birthday song.

There are more photos but I was just too lazy to edit them. Hehehe... Thanks for dropping by... Now got to go and start planning for my eldest son's coming birthday.

Thanks again. have a great day. :D

Holiday Spirit

Yes, it’s been a while since my last freebie. I asked you to come back this week for freebies and here are they. I hope I’m not too late in offering this holiday freebies. Christmas will be in a few more days, barely two weeks that is. I’m not printing a Christmas card for friends and families but instead I’ll be just sending them my own Christmas e-card.

Last weekend Kim and I decided to buy a little Christmas tree just to have the feeling of the holiday spirit. We are not Catholic, we are Bible Baptist Christian and we have different beliefs with regards to Christmas… but again we wanted to feel the spirit of the holiday season that’s why we decided to buy a Christmas tree. My eldest son was ecstatic about the Christmas tree thing and he kept on asking me how many more sleep to merry Christmas. Hahaha…

Here in UAE, they don’t celebrate it but malls are decorated with Christmas spirit themes. This is actually our first time here in UAE to have a Christmas tree of our own and I’m actually glad, even my husband, Kim. I saw the excitement on his face while we were buying a Christmas tree and some decorations. Forgive my ramblings about this Christmas tree… Hehehe…

Here’s a photo of our little Christmas tree with my kiddos.

On the other hand, here’s our Holiday Greeting Card for all of you from me and my boys (using Holiday Spirit littlekit):

And as for my holiday freebiessss…
Here’s a littlekit for you, Holiday Spirit littlekit, I do hope it’s not too late for you to use this. (Just click the image to download)

Another one, some frames to go along with the Holiday Spirit littlekit. (Just click the image to download)

And a greeting card quickpage. All you have to do is insert your photos, date and names. (Just click the image to download)

Happy Holidays everybody and so thank you for dropping by here.
May the holiday spirit be upon each and every one of you and do enjoy the celebrations.

Three Paper Peonies and a Greeting Card...

I was revising my eldest son's baby photobook when I took a little break by blog hopping and that's when I saw Three Paper Peonies' new paper collection specially for this holidays, Warm Woolen Mittens. It was pretty and I couldn't resist, I made a holiday card using her paper collection. This paper collection is free and you can grab it on her blog. I am a fan of Jaime Choi and if she would start to sell her designs, I would like to be a part of her creative team. :)

Here's the greeting card I made using some of Three Paper Peonies' Warm Woolen Mittens paper collection and some elements from my holiday littlekit (coming soon... hopefully before holidays end... bwahahaha...). Come back next week for my template freebies and perhaps my holiday littlekit is also done by then. Hehehe... *crossing fingers*

First week of December is about to end and Christmas is getting nearer. I hope we could celebrate this holidays in Philippines with our families as well as my birthday (and my father's; we share the same birthday). Unfortunately, circumstances didn't allow us to be there. Eventhough, I wish for a happy, joyful and blessed holidays to all of you.

Thanks for visiting... :)

Very late posting...

This is a super late posting already. My eldest son, Makuy celebrated his 5th birthday last August 11. It was a weekday, we just had a "just us" celebration... just us family at home. Kuya was so happy because Papa Kim bought him the skate shoes last August 9 which he requested a few months ago. Then on his birthday, Kim surprised him with a Hot Wheels bike. It was a very simple celebration... just us... with spaghetti, garlic sliced bread, almost like corn dogs, peaches and cream, birthday cake and juice. I post a blog about this also on my foodblog.

This one was on the weekend after his actual birthday at the park near our house. We celebrated his birthday with friends from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and around Al Ain. It was also a weekend get-together for the big ones and play time for the kids.

This was a layout I made for recording the gifts Makuy received on his birthday.

I'd like to take this chance to thank Liz for sharing her wonderful layouts for her blurb book project. It was her blurb book layouts that gave me the idea to come up with these since I wanted to put almost every photos on a page... so-many-photos-to-scrap.

Thank you for looking... :)

Six Years and counting...

Two days ago Kim & I marked our 6th wedding anniversary... "sweet & sugar" anniversay. But we didn't do anything special, it was a lazy day for both of us really... Hehehe... Kim planned to invite our close friends over dinner that night but we were also invited by his officemate's kid's birthday celebration. So, Kim decided to postponed the dinner the next day. So, we did have dinner with our friends at Pizza Hut Bawadi Mall (was not able to take photos since we were incomplete *sigh*). I was not disappointed because we invited them only on that day through text message. I'm still glad they came and greeted.

For me & Kim... I always pray for more loving years together. Loving, since some married couples now a days just stay married for their children but the love is not there anymore. Sad isn't it? I wanted to stay in-love; in that, life (in it's ups & downs and in our individual differences) is always worth the ride.

I made a layout marking our special moment. No photos actually (it was a lazy day remember) so I just took a photo of our wedding ring which I cleaned after 2 years of not polishing. Hehehe... It was just a simple wedding ring, without diamonds or any other ornaments... just a plain white gold band. "Thank you, Lord, for through all these years, He's always there to guide and enlighten and bless us."
