Yano at ONE

Last June 21, 2010, our youngest son (Yano) celebrated his first birthday. We had a little "just us" celebration at home. We got to celebrate his birthday with friends from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain last June 25 since it's weekend here and usually there are no work on Fridays.

It was a success even if the birthday cake was a disaster. I regret having it ordered on a cake shop, I should have made it myself. If it would be a failure then I have myself to blame. Well, anyways, it's done and I planned to bake my eldest son's cake on his 6th birthday next month.

Here was the invitation I created for Yano's birthday. I used my Big World Kit.

Here are a few photos during that day.

"Us" (thanks to Aying for taking the photo)

Yano (eating all throughout the celebration)

Blowing the cake and gathering all the kids for the happy birthday song.

There are more photos but I was just too lazy to edit them. Hehehe... Thanks for dropping by... Now got to go and start planning for my eldest son's coming birthday.

Thanks again. have a great day. :D

"My Boys"

It's almost midnight here in our place but I just got to post this photo. I so love this shot of my boys (the biggest, the big and the smallest). I took this photo last weekend, Friday. The photo was a bit noisy and a bit shaky nor the editing was not that good but it's perfect for me... I love it into bits. I even intend to print this on a larger size (maybe 8"x10") and frame it.

"MY BOYS"
{Papa Kim, Kuya (big brother) Makuy and our Tabakokong (chubby) Yano }

They are my world and they made me complete.
They are what keep me going.
They are my inspiration in everything I do.
I just love taking photos of them.

Jessica Sprague Holidays in Hand

Got this information at Suzanne's blog... I got interested... I enrolled. Can't wait to start the class.

This is a FREE class and it's the final class for this year 2009. Here Jessica Sprague will teach us how to capture and record memories this holiday season. Even if holiday season here in UAE is not the same as what we usually have in Philippines, it's still nice to somehow celebrate the season along with our close friends who are not going to Philippines for vacation. Hehehe...

Attending this free class is worth it if Jessica Sprague is offering it. It's still open for anybody who wanted to join. Just click the image above and it will lead you to her site.

Layout shared and freebies

Recently stumbled upon this texture overlay for the photos and I kinda enjoyed doing it. On the other hand, I needed to scrap as often as I can since I have soooo many photos (old and new) waiting to be scrapped (not to mention, a baby photobook for my eldest son and for my niece as per my sister's request).

We went to Dubai. After 8 months, it's only now that we returned there. So many have changed since our last trip, the Dubai train's already running and the Al Ain - Dubai road has started to be reconstructed and even around Dubai. We went to Dubai Mall, It was our first since it was opened. Then we went to The Walk at Dubai Marina. It was a good trip with our close friends (Aying+Jayson, Resil+Awing, and families; unfortunately, Frema+Doming were not able to join us).

Here's the first layout I made during our trip to Dubai last weekend. This is my eldest son Markus (we call him Makuy). He was starting to throw tantrums at this moment. And it's a good thing I was still able to somehow make him pose and smile a bit near the fountain. :)

Harvested

I already posted my entry for Kangkong Salad on my foodblog. I’m posting it here under photography to share to you the kangkong we just harvested from our little garden… hhmmm… actually it’s a rectangular pot placed outside our main door.

Kim and I have always wanted to grow vegetables and fruits (going organic really). But Kim has the green thumb. I tried but I failed. Kim tried and it blossomed. Hehehe… Even if space and weather just don’t allow us to do that here in UAE, somehow, we were able to grow kangkong, tanglad (lemon grass) and… lately Kim just threw some tomato seeds on the pot where the dying jasmine flower is and it’s growing. That just means we’re growing tomato as well. Yehey… Hehehe… But I still want to grow malunggay tree, it’s my frustration… soon… soon… soon. Lord willing.
