While I'm Gone...

While we don't have internet, I got the chance to finish scrapping my eldest son Makuy's first year (that is from ultrasound to 12th month). This was the first thing I made after arranging the new house and getting settled. Below are the layouts I've made. Some are inspired by others' layouts and I'm so sorry if I forgot where I got the papers and elements I used for the credits but they are all freebies (Feifei Stuff, Three paper Peonies, Petit Lips, Sue Cummings, Amy Sumrall, Vinnie Pearce, Taylormade, Paislee Press, Ellie Lash, Gunhild Storeide)

After finishing Makuy's first year scrap, I had the chance to scrap about my family and I was also able to create a littlekit, stamp frames and a quickpage.

I was going through my stock of old photos when I came to this photo I pasted in a scrapbooking paper a few years ago and then I got the idea to make a littlekit using the paper where I pasted my family photo (minus Kim who's already here in UAE at that time). They are my family in the Philippines; my parents, sister with daughter & hubby, my brother and me with Makuy. We are not a perfect happy family and we're not close to each other but I miss the so much and I was hoping to see them this year and I love them that's why I decided to create this littlekit. I was enjoying creating that littlekit that I was even able to make stamp frames and a quickpage using the layout I made from that littlekit. So, without much further a do, I'd like to introduce you to Family Matters Littlekit, Stamp Frames and Quickpage.

friends... like family. ohana means no one is left behind.

Among the many friends we have here in UAE (specially here in Al Ain), these guys are the closest to us. From the first time me and Makuy arrived here, they are the ones we always hang out with, share insights, heartaches, problems, funny-happy moments, and the lists just go on and on. They are our family here and as a ohana, "no one will be left behind". We may someday walk through different directions but deep inside they will be forever cherished and hopefully stay connected. Thank you to them for the love and support they gave us in times we needed it the most. I love you guys... (chuva) *wink*

I always visit Jaime Choi's blog and I admire her layouts as well as her itty bitty kits (her designs). She's one of my inspirations when it comes to digiscrapbooking. I hope and pray that I would also be able to create my own kits... but I still have to learn so many things. In creating my layouts, I usually get my inspiration through the layouts of other digiscrappers. I saw this circular date stamp and I kinda liked it but it was for sale and since I don't have the means to buy them, I usually create my own from scratch. I was already able to create 4 circular stamps and I'd like to share them with you (specially for those who only rely on freebies like myself). Hehehe... Hope you'll enjoy using them.

As for these alpha, I created them to be sticker alphas since I couldn't find the alpha that I liked to add on my layout. I used Friends font which I got from the net. You can download them if you like.
